I love knowledge. It really IS power! I found out what is wrong with my foot today. No, it is not broken, the arch fell. If no one has ever experienced a fallen arch, I’m sure you can at least imagine the level of pain associated with it for me to have originally thought my foot was broken. It is not fun at all, but the great thing about it is now I can start treating it. I should be good to go in a few weeks, but for now I will be laying off the weight bearing exercises for the foreseeable future. I get to jump in the pool starting this weekend, and I’m very excited about it.

I was even able to get in a little exercise today, about 40 minutes of walking around the University. Also, eating was very clean, even in the face of temptation. Overall, a good day 🙂

  1. I wonder if you have a stress fracture in your foot– they don't show up on x-ray. The x-ray of my pelvis was negative, the stress fracture only showed up when they did the MRI. Stress fractures are usually painful when you put pressure on them. Hope this helps, but I am sure your MD knows best! Good luck, hope it feels better soon!!

  2. I thought it was a stress fracture too, and my physiotherapist said that it's possible as well, but the arch is definitely the main problem right now. Good thing they both require the same remedy: rest! 🙂
