Ugh… I have NOT been feeling well for the last week. More stomach issues, yay. Although I haven’t completely reverted to my non primal ways, I have been a bit lazy with my eating, and I am paying for it right now. I am starting to wonder if I am Celiac or something. I looked into what is involved in being tested, and one of the things that is required is the continued consumption of wheat. This will allow any inflammatory markers to show up in a blood test, and as such, a clear diagnosis. I’m not really sure if I’m down with that. From eliminating wheat and then re introducing it, I have figured out on my own that it does yucky things to my body, so do I really need a blood test and a doctor’s stamp of approval saying that I have a problem with wheat? Also, what if the test is negative? There is clearly something wrong, but it seems like doctors are all to willing to label people hypochondriacs when they come to them with questions concerning their diet if the test results come back negative(which, I guess to be fair, there are a number of people exactly like that).
I am not a fan of being sick, and I am sort of bummed that I’m in this position right now. I haven’t been truly sick for quite a while now, and I was hoping to keep the streak going a bit longer. I actually had to take a sick day today because my stomach was all cramped up. I was hoping to avoid this, as the support staff are on strike in my district and there are very few extra subs right now, but it just could not be avoided. It’s totally affecting my social life too, as I’ve been turning down dinner invitations with friends a few times this week. I think I’m going to turn into that asshole who makes a huge fuss at restaurants from now on. Sucks.
As I have not been feeling well, I have also not been feeling great with the whole sewing thing, and my creative streak seems to have gone into hibernation as of late. I guess that’s where knitting is nice, I can do it while I am curled into a half fetal position while my stomach is all cramped up. I made yet another scarflet from the craftsy.com course, and this one is quite a bit more polished than my first effort.
I’m really happy with how it turned out, I think the lace looks much nicer than in my first attemp and the whole scarf is quite uniformly stitched. I started working on another scarf just for the sake of it, and this is where I am so far.
It is definitely NOT uniformly stitched, but I don’t really care. I love the colour, and it’ll be a nice warm scarf once it’s done. It’s a pretty boring mix of knit and purl stitches, and I plan to get down to the end of the ball.
I really hope I can convince myself to get to my sewing machine this weekend. I have so many projects that I want to start working on, the getting started seems to be taking a lot out of me lately.

They are also part of my evil plan to bring Shane into the primal lifestyle with me. He seems to like the food, but some days it’s a challenge to pry the pasta from his hands. He has agreed to do a 21 day challenge with me, as his stomach is even touchier than mine! We’re a little late at the starting gate, but better late than never!

If not, well, those cookies may taste crappy. Mine were awesome, and I followed the recipe as is, no substitutions or changes.
